Katherine Heigl has revealed that she was brought up in a white bubble and how that influenced the way she raised adopted, multiracial children. She was in the movie "Firefly Lane" told a reporter that it did not matter the color of her skin for her. However, after meeting her adopted Korean American older sister, she realised the distinction between how others took care of her. "I I asked my sister Meg, if she had been treated one way while out in public with our parents and in a different manner when she went out alone without them. She replied, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl told parents: "That was when I realized that my naivety had resulted in me feeling." The actress said that she was frustrated, but decided use that anger to help adopt her daughters. Heigl is married to Josh Kelley for 13 years they have a son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. In 2009, they welcomed Nancy Leigh (12), an adopted daughter from South Korea, and Adalaide (8 an African-American child) in 2012.
