Beautiful pics of Tamara Day and Sarah Stiles feet & legs
The kids were asleep in their cribs while I was strapped in with a baby on my back. Ha! All was beginning to fall in place, yet we were nowhere near done. It was going to take lots of time and money as well as my favourite brands of furniture furnishings for this house. To stay on budget I started going to estate sales with three boys searching for diamonds in the rough. Our routine for the week was to spend Thursday-Saturday walking through garage sales to purchase a mix of vintage and modern pieces, and then I would spend the weekdays painting sanding in the driveway. My first impression was like... that's the moment my love for restoring furniture was born. When our home was finished, I didn't want to quit! I also had a booth at the market, where I would sell objects. I eventually had lots of pieces, I didn't have a clue what to do with them and my storage space was a mess. Over 1000 people visited my home in just one weekend to purchase everything on the ground floor. My business Growing Days began here. Growing Days wasn't just an incredibly successful business, but it was also a loving family. As a mom of a child I was able to find the perfect equilibrium to start my own business and also become a great mother. Growing Days was the obvious choice. My daughter Nora became our fourth child. I loved where my business was going, but I wanted a break. I took a break from creating vintage furniture and also slowed my pace to be at home to raise the children. This was just the thing I needed. After a couple of months, my phone started to ring. There were calls from people asking me to help them with the interior design and renovations of their home. The majority of them visited my home in my open houses for furniture. Once I had a few months, I took on clients at my pace. Soon I had several accounts and a home renovations company. When you first spoke to me about my home renovation business I was astonished. It's funny to think back on the idea.
