Cheney said the future is bright for him working alongside a president who will work together with people of diverse political beliefs and common goal. Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941, the son of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. At the age of 13, Richard Bruce moved with his parents from Nebraska to Casper (in the US state of Wyoming) in Wyoming, where his father was Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's soil conservation district.
